Feel Stronger, Move Freely, Live Confidently

Abdominal Separation

Abdominal separation—also known as diastasis recti—commonly occurs during or after pregnancy when the connective tissue between the abdominal muscles stretches to accommodate the growing baby.

This can lead to a visible gap or bulge in the abdomen, core weakness, lower back discomfort, pelvic floor symptoms or difficulty with certain movements. While it’s common, it’s not something you have to live with long term.

How We Help

At Flow Motion, we assess the depth, width and function of your abdominal wall and how it’s interacting with your posture, breathing, and pelvic floor. Our approach is gentle and progressive, helping you rebuild strength, control and confidence in your body—whether you’re newly postpartum or years down the track.
